Bangle, Bracelet & Cuff Sizing
Bangle, Bracelet & Cuff Sizing
Choosing the correct size ensures your cuff or bracelet sits comfortably and moves naturally on the wrist.
Most cuffs and bracelets are designed to sit just above the wrist bone and should feel secure without being tight.
Bangles
Our Bangles are generally a standard size of 65.8mm internally.
To make sure this size will fit you or if you are ordering a custom size please measure your wrist size:
-
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your wrist where you would normally wear a bangle.
-
If you do not have a measuring tape, use a strip of paper or string and then measure it with a ruler.
-
Then do the same for your hand at its widest point with your thumb tucked underneath. This makes sure that you will be able to get your bangle on over your hand.
-
Once you know your wrist measurement, add a small amount of space depending on how you prefer your jewellery to fit.
-
Snug fit: add 10 mm
-
Comfortable fit: add 15–20 mm
-
Loose fit: add 25 mm
This allows the bracelet to move comfortably on the wrist.
-
Bracelet Sizing
Chain bracelets typically sit slightly looser than cuffs. If you are choosing a bracelet as a gift and are unsure of the size, a standard bracelet length of around 18–19 cm fits most wrists comfortably.
Cuff Sizing
Cuffs are designed with a small opening so they can be gently slipped onto the wrist.
To measure your wrist size for a cuff:
-
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your wrist just above your wrist bone to give the circumference. If you do not have a measuring tape, use a strip of paper or string and then measure it with a ruler.Place your wrist flat on a piece of paper and measure the width across the back.
- Then do the same for your hand at its widest point with your thumb tucked underneath.
- Turn your wrist sideways and measure the height.
Once you know your wrist measurement, add a small amount of space depending on how you prefer your jewellery to fit.
-
Snug fit: add 10 mm
-
Loose fit: add 15–20 mm
To put on a cuff:
-
Slide the cuff onto the side of the wrist, where the wrist is narrower.
-
Rotate it into position above the wrist bone.
Avoid repeatedly bending cuffs open and closed, as this can weaken the metal over time.
